What's Included?

Week 1

Understanding your duty of care

What starts out as just another normal busy day for van driver Bob Adams quickly turns sour as Bob is involved in a crash on the way to his first stop. Fleet Manager Stella Adams is quickly drawn into events after the police take a closer look at Bob’s van and find a number of problems with how Bob and his van were being managed.

Our series of 10 short videos will take you through the story in detail, examining 20 faults made by Bob and Stella that played a part in the incident.

Week 2

Your 10 Most Important Tasks

Driving for Better Business Campaign Manager Simon Turner talks delegates through 10 of the most important tasks a Fleet Manager has to do to ensure they meet their duty of care requirements.

Week 3

Creating your Driving for Work policy

One of the most important tasks is creating a comprehensive Driving for Work policy that clearly sets out the rules and standards that you want your van drivers to follow. In Week 3, we explain what needs to go in your policy and why, and we give you example wording to use for each section. At the end of this module you’ll have a brand new comprehensive Driving for Work policy that you can share with your drivers.

Week 4

Communicating your policy and setting up your systems

In the final week of our Challenge, you will get free access to the FleetCheck Driver management system in order to share your Driving for Work policy with drivers and document the distribution and approval process.

A 40-minute private session with one of our fleet management experts will show you how to do this and also help you set up your ongoing driver and vehicle management systems so you have complete confidence that you’ll be managing your fleet correctly.
